A massive congratulations has to go to Marcus Anthony Smith for passing his driving test today. It was a bit touch and go as to whether or not Marcus’s driving test was going to happen as we’d all heard on the news about the weather conditions and the forecast of snow and ice. Fortunately, the snow stayed away just long enough for Marcus to get his test done and passed.

Taking your driving test can be stressful enough, but having the possibility of the weather elements getting worse, I’m surprised Marcus got a good nights sleep the night before. I’d been watching and listening to the news about the weather and I’d also started following the DVSA on their Twitter feed as they had put out a statement that some test centres would be closed due to the weather. The main reasons for this was because of the driving examiner’s may not be able to get into work depending on where they had to travel from. The other reason why the DVSA where cancelling driving tests was due to the treacherous conditions in some parts of the country. I think both Marcus and myself breathed a sigh of relief on the morning of his driving test and saw that the snow hadn’t hit our area yet. it was cold though but not enough to deter Marcus from focusing on passing his driving test.
